WE SCARE HUNGER

The We-to-Me Student Leadership Council is once again asking our Dr. Perry School community to give donations to the We Scare Hunger Campaign in support of the Regina Food Bank Drive.

We Scare Hunger

Help support this very worthy cause by donating non-perishable food items from October 15th - 31st to help families in need.

Collection bins are set-up at the school ready to receive your generous donations.

ORANGE SHIRT DAY

September 30th has been proclaimed as ORANGE SHIRT DAY in Saskatchewan as an opportunity to ensure discussion happens about residential schools.

This is the first year that ORANGE SHIRT DAY has been officially recognized.

Orange Shirt Day

ORANGE SHIRT DAY is "an opportunity for First Nations, local governments, schools and communities to come together in a spirit of reconciliation and hope for generations of children to come."

 

TERRY FOX SCHOOL RUN & FUNDRAISER

On Thursday, September 29th

Dr. Perry students & staff will participate

in the Terry Fox School Run for Cancer Research.

This year the teachers at Dr. Perry School have set up a challenge to see who can take a kids song, or popular song, and rewrite it using the same tune but with a new theme. Students can then bring donations to get a chance to vote for the teachers they think have done the best job.

Donations will be collected for the Terry Fox Foundation during the week of September 26th - 30th

NEW SCHOOL OPEN HOUSE DATES ANNOUNCED

Are you interested in Regina Public Schools' new schools in Harbour Landing, Greens on Gardiner and Rosewood Park?

 

The Regina Public School Division will be hosting three open house sessions at neighbourhood schools and one at RPS Division Office.

The open house sessions will be opportunities for parents, students, staff and the community to learn about the new school designs, the new school attendance boundaries and the Name Your School Campaign.

The open houses will be informal, come and go sessions. You are welcome to come at any time, as there is no set agenda, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions.
