A message from your administrative team at École Dr AE Perry School

Dear parents, guardians, and students:

Welcome back to the Panther Pit!  Bienvenue chez les pathères! We hope that you have all had a restful summer and are ready to get back into the swing of things. The staff at École Dr. A.E. Perry School are very excited to see all of our students again as we greet them back into a newly refurbished and renovated school.

Our returning students will notice many changes to the school including new water bottle refill stations, new flooring and fresh paint, and new furniture throughout the school. It is our hope that we will be able to keep our school clean and looking great for many years to come. Parents, you are able to help us by making sure that your child has non-marking shoes, carries their own reusable water bottle, and brings home their lunch items and gym clothes regularly.  Students in grades 4-8 are required to wear a mask whenever physical distancing is not possible, and we strongly encourage students in K-3 to do so as well.  Please label all items that you are sending with your child.

Our biggest concern for our students this year is their health and safety. If you have not already done so, please take some time to read over our School Safety Plan on the school website. Within the document, you will notice advice for washing hands, wearing a mask, our entry and exit points, how we will help students and staff who show signs of illness, in addition to many other pieces of valuable information. As always, if you ever have any questions, you are always free to contact our main office or your child’s teacher.

Please note the changes in access to the facility listed in our School Safety Plan.  We know how difficult it is to drop your kids off and not be able to walk them into their classrooms, however, these changes were made to really restrict the amount of people our students are coming into contact with and are just one of the many ways in which we are keeping our students as safe as possible while they are at school.

Despite these many changes that have occurred since we were last together, we are thrilled to welcome our panthers back to the building.  Their teachers and our staff members have been working hard to ensure that it is the same caring and safe environment that our students are used to.  Although we may not be able to meet in person right way, we know that parents play a huge role in their child’s education.  The partnership between home and school is incredibly important. If you ever have any questions, concerns or feedback, we would love to hear from you.

Before the school year begins... thank you.  Thank you for your patience, understanding and support as we navigate the upcoming school year.  We feel incredibly fortunate to belong to such a caring and supportive school community!

Sincerely,

Mme M. Bowes (Principal / Directrice)

Mr. C. Weber (Vice-principal / Directeur adjoint)
