Update to dismissal procedures at École Dr. A.E. Perry School

Dear families, parents and guardians;

Tomorrow, the following letter will be sent home electronically from your child's classroom teacher.  This letter outlines a slight adjustment to our end of day routines and procedures.  This change should have a minimal impact on your day to day routines, however, will help us continue to reduce congestion during pick up times at the end of the day. Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact us directly at the school and we will be happy to discuss this further.

Please click HERE to access the letter that will be sent home to families on Wednesday, September 16th, 2020.

A message from your administrative team at École Dr AE Perry School

Dear parents, guardians, and students:

Welcome back to the Panther Pit!  Bienvenue chez les pathères! We hope that you have all had a restful summer and are ready to get back into the swing of things. The staff at École Dr. A.E. Perry School are very excited to see all of our students again as we greet them back into a newly refurbished and renovated school.

Back to school - What to expect on the first day

Welcome back to École Dr. A.E. Perry School!  Bienvenue à l'École Dr. A.E. Perry!

Our division office staff and school based staff have been working very hard to prepare for the arrival of our students on September 8th and September 9th. Classroom teachers are making contact with families this week to ensure that parents have the opportunity to ask questions and feel prepared for the upcoming school year.

We will begin the day outside - staff will be holding signage so that students can connect with their classroom teacher.

A few items to help reduce congestion and keep our students safe:

Strategy to Reduce Virus Spread

August 28, 2020 -- Regina Public Schools is implementing a three-part strategy to reduce the risk of COVID-19, as well as other viruses, including colds and flu, as students return to school and the colder fall and winter weather sets in. The strategy focuses on face masks, cleaning and increased, filtered ventilation.

Safe Schools Plan Parent Package

Please find attached the Safe Schools Plan Parent Packagecreated to support the back to school plan for classrooms across the province.

This document provides some useful information for families to help prepare their children for a safe return back into the classroom on September 8th or 9th, depending on their start date.

The document also provides some clarification on the Covid 19 testing process and options, protocols around illness for students, and reviews the thresholds for changes to in-class learning.

Welcome back, panthers!

Welcome back to a new school year!  Bienvenue à une nouvelle année scolaire!  We are so very excited to see you again and to welcome some new faces to our school community.

When students return to school this year, they may notice some changes in the building.  Our beautiful school facility has had some incredible renovations; we are welcome some new students and adding a French Immersion program to our school, and we will have new students from other schools and new teachers joining us.  Whatever changes you may see, our school focus will always be around creating safe and caring spaces for all to learn.
